Save water by recycling the washing machine water. Catch the spin cycle water in the laundry trough then pump back into the machine for the next load.

To save water my family and I plant a large garden so to not use so much water this year we are going to cover it with straw that was used over the winter in insulate my mother in laws home. So not only save water but also recycle the straw and get more use out of it.

Washing your hair everyday is not necessary. Lets shower every otherday to save water. Wash baisins are great for having a wash.

If you darken your house by using roller shutters or drawing curtins then your house stays cooler meaning you don't have to turn your air conditioner on as much and your air conditioner won't be using the water it needs to cool the house down.

Flashing waters can also be limited by putting a bottle of water in the tank to limit the flash water.

Don't rinse plates before you put them in the dishwasher, scrape them instead. Most modern dishwashers have a prewash rinse anyway.

It's not necessary to shower with the water running, a bit like we all did when cleaning your teeth. Once in the shower, wet yourself then turn the shower off. You can then lather up, wash yourself properly and stay in there as long as you like and not waste water. When finished turn on the water to rinse off. Its known as a sea shower and has saved water on boats for years.
